This place got me through the pandemic. Sunrise Grill (formerly known as Donut Dinette for years) has the best omelettes I'm aware of in the state. I always get the sunrise omelette with jalapeños added, and it has the perfect amount of cheese and spice. When I was able to work remotely in Albemarle, I would venture here often for takeout or the lunch hour and it always hit the spot. I know the place has stopped selling doughnuts, which is a shame since that was the whole deal was getting a donut with your breakfast, but I have still ventured to a pastry-less Sunrise Grill twice since they've done the name change. It's an Albemarle institution, and the crowds lining out the door speaks for itself
Exceptional service! The wait staff we're all very welcoming and attentive. I unknowingly arrived right before they closed and they took my order and served me a great breakfast. Will definitely be eating here again!
EXCELLENT food, AMAZING service and WONDERFUL people. We are new to the area and are trying out different local places. We loved it and look forward to coming back again soon.
